A typical question:
I want to know what’s spam and what’s not so I decided asking actual people would be my best bet. What is the best website to host a free website on because office live is closing on the 30th and all and the thing I’m making a website for cannot afford to buy another website. Thank you!
Geocities closed it’s free web hosting service in 2009…
Answer: This is quite a popular question. Free hosting will most probably never be the right hosting for aspiring website owner. Web hosting is one of the most critical thing for your online presence and can mean the success and failure for your business.
Before we answer your question, let us review the 7 factors to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- has excellent support and rated at least A+ by Better Business Bureau (BBB),
- gives unlimited diskspace,
- offers no limit on bandwidth,
- gives multiple add-on domains,
- has easy Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of their cheap dedicated server plans if and when your business require.
To answer your question, many experienced web developers suggest to try Hostgator. If you are building your first website and needs a hosting plan, experts usually highly recommend going with Hostgator because they are the best cheap cpanel hosting around.
What if you find out that Hostgator sucks after you signed up with them? HG has 45 days, longer-than-industry-average money back guarantee so you have ample time to test them out. They are rated A+ by Better Business Bureau which shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. You also do not have to pay for the first month. You can just try their fully functional hosting service – you pay only $0.01 (you need to use the special coupon code). Do you know any other hosting company that can give you that kind of assurance? Anybody can grab an account from Hostgator for almost FREE.

Who Should Not Try Hostgator
To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost
If you are still not sure if HG is right for you, or you have specific query about anything at all, try the Live Chat at HG. They are fast and knowledgeable. Just shoot them some questions before you decide.

My fave free hosting sites ae the following:
1. Weebly.com
2. Yola.com
3. WordPress.com
4. Webs
The above choices are ideal if you are making personal sites that don’t require large amount of webspace and bandwidth.

Hey,
They say, "if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is." Boy I’m glad I didn’t listen to them this time. This idea rocks.
It isn’t for everyone, but if you want some extra cash in your wallet pretty quickly, and don’t feel like learning (or doing) any marketing, advertising or promoting for it, then this could be your golden ticket.
You must admit (when you see it) it’s genius.
If you didn’t scoop it up already, here’s your second chance to grab it now:

Most companies will not allow you to use an external building software and have FTP access using free website hosting… Most anywhere you use a "free website" package will not even allow you to use your own domain name. It would normally be something like domain.hostingcompany.com
Try out different companies and their website builder tools since you will need to use them. See which one you like the best and whoever your registrar is shoul be. Able to apply a URL forwarding to the third level domain you get with your free website.
Good luck!

You get what you pay for. However blogger is fine for most sites. because it uses word press theme. So because of that option I would recommend them. I like HostGator because of their 24/7 online chat support and more importantly the quality of their customer service.
I got a coupon code that I used that allowed my 1st month to cost only a penny.
Code was:
PENNYGATOR12
Good Luck,
