A frequently-asked query:
I just have a question about some of the fees on the linux plan details for the economy plan. I just noticed that there are some fees for SSL Certificate, Facebook® Ad Credit, etc. I was wondering if they are optional or if they can be turned off? Thanks for your help.

Answer: Here is why many business owners are wrong about getting free web hosting. Free hosting will most probably never be the right hosting for aspiring website owner. Web hosting is one of the most critical thing for your web presence and can mean the life or death to your business.
To answer your query, here are 7 factors to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- has excellent support and rated at least A+ by Better Business Bureau (BBB),
- gives unlimited webspace,
- offers no limit on bandwidth,
- gives multiple add-on domains,
- has friendly Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of their best dedicated server plans if and when your business require.
Answering your question, many experienced web developers suggest to try Hostgator. If you need an “unlimited” hosting plan, experts usually highly recommend going with Hostgator because they are the best cheap cpanel hosting around.
What if you find out that Hostgator sucks after you signed up with them? HG has 45 days, longer-than-industry-average money back guarantee so you have ample time to test them out. They are rated A+ by Better Business Bureau which shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. You also do not have to pay for the first month. You can just try their fully functional hosting service – you pay only $0.01 (you need to use the special coupon code). Do you know any other hosting company that can give you that kind of assurance? Anybody can grab an account from Hostgator for almost FREE.

Who Should Not Try Hostgator
To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost
If you are still not sure if HG is right for you, or you have specific query about anything at all, try the Live Chat at HG. They are fast and knowledgeable. Just shoot them some questions before you decide.

Sadly, GoDaddy constantly tries to up-sell you no matter what you are trying to do on their site.
For example, if you log on because you have an account with them, you do not see a nice, clean control panel. Instead, you see a very confusing assortment of information which, they hope, will lead you into ordering something else.
I would suggest that you ignore EVERYTHING they try to sell you, unless you can establish a valid need.
For example, an SSL certificate is something you do not need, unless you are doing e-commerce on your website and are directly accepting credit card information, or the equivalent.
I used to recommend GoDaddy to my clients, but now I refer them to 1&1 Internet, which is cheaper, includes free domain name renewals forever, and has a squeaky-clean, usable control panel which is a pleasure to use. I offer a link to them, along with some other sites I have found useful, on the link below.

Honestly I don’t have any direct experience with godaddy, however I’ve heard many bad thing about their web hosting quality on the web.
As an experienced webmaster I recommend BH web hosting which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.
