Answer: Here is why many business owners are wrong about getting free web hosting. Free hosting will most probably never be the right hosting for aspiring website owner. Web hosting is the heart of your web presence and can mean the success and failure for your business.
To answer your query, here are 7 qualities to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- does not suspend accounts as easily,
- gives unlimited diskspace,
- offers no limit on bandwidth,
- gives unlimited add-on domains,
- has easy Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of their cheap dedicated server plans if and when your business require.
To answer your question, why not try Hostgator. If you are building your first website and needs a hosting plan, experts usually highly recommend going with Hostgator because they are the best cheap cpanel hosting around.
What if you find out that Hostgator sucks after you signed up with them? HG has 45 days, longer-than-industry-average money back guarantee so you have ample time to test them out. Who Should Not Try Hostgator
To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost

I believe you only have one choice here. Go to an Internet cafe, (there are some that allow internet access for £1 an hour) and download everything to there. Then, upload it from the same computer to the new webspace. This applies only if the problem is that you cannot download from your computer.

So the question is, really, WHY can’t you download and upload? Most free sites, and specifically the ones you mention, do have FTP support, and your best bet is to accomplish the transfer with a good FTP client program, like CuteFTP.
The only way to transfer files between hosts effectively WITHOUT resorting to a transfer, is to use a scripting language, and have one website pretend that it’s a web browser, and pull the files from the other site. BUT, most free sites specifically DISABLE that kind of capability. For example, in PHP you would use either FOPEN or CURL functions to accomplish this.
