A frequently-asked query:
‘FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is great. I have been wondering about why Whites are racists, and no other race is……
Proud to be White
Michael Richards makes his point…………..
Michael Richards better known as Kramer from TVs Seinfeld does make a good point. This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his comedy act. He makes some very interesting points…
Someone finally said it.. How many are actually paying attention to this? There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc..
And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me ‘White boy,’ ‘Cracker,’ ‘Honkey,’ ‘Whitey,’ ‘Caveman’… and that’s OK.
But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink .. You call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you… so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma’uled Al-Nabi.
You have the NAACP. You have BET… If we had WET (White Entertainment Television), we’d be racists.. If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists.
If we had White History Month, we’d be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to ‘advance’ OUR lives, we’d be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that??
A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships.. You know we’d be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US . Yet if there were ‘White colleges’, that would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you’re not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists..
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.
I am proud…. But you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists??
There is nothing improper about this e-mail.. Let’s see which of you are proud enough to send it on. I sadly don’t think many will. That’s why we have LOST most of OUR RIGHTS in this country. We won’t stand up for ourselves!
BE PROUD TO BE WHITE!
It’s not a crime YET… but getting very close!
It is estimated that ONLY 5% of those reaching this point in this e-mail, will pass it on. ‘
From an e-mail forwarded to me.

What does this have to do with theater: ‘Michael Richards makes his point…………..

‘Absolutely not…’
OK, like? Like what.
”Black’ and ‘white’ are colour labels that were chiefly invented in the last milenia by ‘whitish’ people mainly under a doctrine of ‘Social Darwinism’ and ‘Unilineal evolution’ in an attempt to legitimate ‘white’ colonisation of the globe.’Oh, so Columbus was a Nazi then. I know Hitler was a Catholic sympathizer, or was he Catholic or were the Catholics Nazi sympathizers. Is the grievance of the racist symptom of normal human thought process?
Answer: This is quite a popular question. Free hosting will most probably never be the right hosting for most. Web hosting is the heart of your business and can mean the life or death to your business.

- has friendly Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of their cheap dedicated server plans if and when your business require.

To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost
If you are still not sure if HG is right for you, or you have specific query about anything at all, try the Live Chat at HG. They are fast and knowledgeable. Just shoot them some questions before you decide.

???????????????????
Well, if you go by Eric Erickson, you could grow and develop in the most ideal way, passing through the various stages in serial order, starting – Trust, autonomy, initiative, industry, identity, intimacy, generativity and integrity…. wow! But there’s a flip side to it, and that is, if you don’t actually master the above mentioned developmental tasks, then you tend to develop one in direct conflict to that stated. … mistrust, shame and doubt, guilt, inferiority, role confusion, isolation, stagnation and despair. … in that order.
One doesn’t have to become psychotic on grievance, ……………..

Ummm what does this have to do with theatre?
My personal opinion is that there is only one race…the human race. I don’t care what color you are, what country you come from or who your ancestors are…ultimately we all come from the same place and we all bleed the same color. Some people just choose to not use their brains. I choose to live my life the way I want to live it which is respecting everyone. I suggest you try doing the same. You would be a much happier person and people might show you a little more respect. You have to give respect in order to get it.
The only correct statement was Freedom isn’t free. You are right. People made sacrifices for everyone’s freedom in this country. In world wars, civil rights movements and even right now in Iraq and Afganistan. People are dying for you. Do you really think you are honoring those people? Not only that, but the only real Americans are the ones who have grown up on the Indian reserves. They are the real Americans. The rest of us are just transplants from different countries too.
Freedom is fought for, but respect has to be earned!

I SEE NO RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THIS QUESTION AND IT’S CONTENT BUT ANYWAY!
‘Black’ and ‘white’ are colour labels that were chiefly invented in the last milenia by ‘whitish’ people mainly under a doctrine of ‘Social Darwinism’ and ‘Unilineal evolution’ in an attempt to legitimate ‘white’ colonisation of the globe. This mythology argues that hunter gatherers were the earliest form of people, then pastoralists and then industrialists and was and is * still used to legitimate the colonisation of the world by industrial nations. The version of it which purported to grade people in terms of skin colour placed Eastern Europeans at the ‘top’ followed by Southern Europeans, Middle Eastern peoples, East Asians, South Asians, Native Americans (Northern and Southern), Polynesians, Africans, Melanesians, ‘Australian’ Aborigines, and Tasmanian Aborigines at the very bottom of some gradient of human evolution that was meant to legitimate people higher up the hierarchy exterminating people further down. White people are the ones who started labelling everyone by colour including ‘ourselves’. I totally agree that identifying people by colour is problematic – but then this is the inheritance that comes with the stolen continents we now kid ourselves we possess.
I have finally read the Erikson link and it seems to concur with my opinion of ‘whiteness’ as a cultural vacuum. Of course modern society has lost much of the formalised initiation stage that existed in most, if not all societies. It seems to be an observation across a number of Indigenous cultures that white people appeared on their shores like ghosts hence the name for ghost sometimes became the word for white people. Have a look at what Kevin Annett says about this subject of white people as ghosts – victims of former acts of genocide who become future oppressors in new lands and then appropriate Indigenous identities in an attempt to define themselves and deny this genocide:

By the way I still don’t understand what you are actually asking or what your quote has to do with it.
* To quote the comments of an Indonesian soldier currently involved in the invasion of West Papua on August 12th, 2008 at 3:27 pm:
"New Guinea offers unparalleled opportunity to witness peoples only recently emerging from the Stone Age with traditions of cannibalism, which some suspect may even still be practised in the remotest areas today. Besides the obvious attraction of being eaten alive, Irian Jaya has plenty of interesting things to do and see for those that manage to survive the headhunters’ cooking pots.” (see indonesiamatters link).
