A typical query:
I have no clue on where to begin, what hosting package to go for, how to design it, etc.
Can anyone give me some advice? I’d be ever so grateful.
No knowledge of html or anything similar.
Answer: You are not alone. Free hosting will most probably never be the best hosting for most people. Web hosting is the heart of your online presence and can mean the life or death to your business.
To answer your query, here are 7 things to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- lets you try their service for free or at very low price,
- gives more-than-enough diskspace,
- offers no limit on bandwidth,
- gives multiple add-on domains,
- has easy Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of their best dedicated server plans if and when your business require.
Answering your question, why not try Hostgator. If you are building your first website and needs a hosting plan, experts usually highly recommend going with Hostgator because they are the best cheap cpanel hosting around.
What if you find out that Hostgator sucks after you signed up with them? HG has 45 days, longer-than-industry-average money back guarantee so you have ample time to test them out. Who Should Not Try Hostgator
To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost
If you are still not sure if HG is right for you, or you have specific query about anything at all, try the Live Chat at HG. They are fast and knowledgeable. Just shoot them some questions before you decide.

If you want to set up a website, you have two choices:
1. Use free hosting. With a free web host, you will have a free subdomain, tons of templates to choose from for your website, and publish your website quickly. However, you are limited to the hosting service that you can use like webspace, bandwidth, databases, php support, ftp accounts and the like.
You can use Weebly, Yola, WordPress.com and 000webhost for a free web host.
2. Use Paid Web hosting. In this option, you need to have your own domain name and web hosting provider. Upload your own web pages or install cms in your server like WordPress and Joomla. You are not limited to the hosting service you can use but there’s a respective payment monthly or annually for the hosting service you sign up for.

If your good with motivating people, write out the content so long, design the layout on paper. If you don’t want to learn HTML then you COULD pay someone to do that part for you (Potentially expensive but has good results). Make sure to advertise your site so that your potential people to motivate will see the site and hopefully get to work! =D
I know it’s not much but oh well 😉

If you want to design a website then you will need to know about HTML and CSS just for a basic website, theres loads of tutorials on youtube and other websites, or if you dont have the patience to learn then write down your plans on paper and contact a web designer, but it wont be very cheap

If you were looking to create a forum, Conforums is a GREAT one. You can customize EVERYTHING, and their support board is friendly and helpful. They have MANY codes that you can add to change the look of your site, I’ve been using it for years.
This is just a preview of the things you can do with the forum: http://connections.conforums.com
That website put in a contest table, a sidebar, their own banner, a chat room, and many boards. They’ve changed all the smileys, forum colors, you name it. The website is fully customizable and a great host. And it’s completely free.

There are tons of weight loss/nutrition templates available for purchase. If you’re still uncertain of the other details, it’s probably best to hire a professional. You should contact http://graphicdesignneeds.com/
I’ve heard a lot about them through friends and they do awesome work. You can check out their portfolio online, too.
Good luck!
