A frequently-asked query:
I have successfully established the homepage of my website using cPanel, but now I’m wondering how you add more webpages?

Like I have those links on the header but I was wondering how to make a webpage that you get to using those links, while still keeping the integrity of the web layout, etc. Basically just wondering how to make a new page. Thank you very much. I’m very new to web hosting. Haha.
Answer: This is quite a popular question. Free hosting will not be the right hosting for most people. Web hosting is one of the most critical thing for your web presence and can mean the life or death to your business.
Before we answer your question, let us review the 7 qualities to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:

- gives unlimited storage,
- offers unlimited bandwidth,
- gives multiple add-on domains,
- has easy Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of their best dedicated server plans if and when your business require.

- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost

Forget using the editor and uploader in cPanel. You have paid hosting. Use a local editor and make a mirror image of your site’s directory structure on your hard drive in its own folder. This will allow you to have a current backup of all files and to test your pages in different browsers. You can then use FTP to upload all new/edited pages to their right place(s) a lot faster.
You will need to make a nav menu on each page for people to be able to navigate around your site.

I assume you are using the file manager in cPanel. Navigate so you are under your public_html folder, this is where your index file is located too. Once you are there, click the "new file" button in the left hand corner. Call this new file "about.htm". This can be your "About Page". Now to link to that page from your home page. Right click on your index file and click the edit button.
Now where you see:
<area shape="rect" coords="48,69 146,110" href="ABOUT LINK">
change it to:
<area shape="rect" coords="48,69 146,110" href="about.htm">
EDIT:
@Ron you don’t have to have a software to do FTP. You can just type ftp://username@site.com to access it.
