A common question:
I have 2 hosts. Each one is carrying a different domain name the I have registered. I want to move them both to a single host. I got on my cpanel and tried adding the other domain into "addon domains" But I said there was an error with the name servers, and where they were pointed. So my question is how can I change my name servers etc.. So I can manage both domains on 1 host’s cpanel?
Answer: It is not your fault you got confused. Free hosting will most probably never be the best hosting for most. Web hosting is the heart of your online presence and can mean the life or death to your business.
To answer your query, here are 7 qualities to look for in a good web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- lets you try their service for free or at very low price,
- gives more-than-enough storage,
- offers unlimited bandwidth,
- gives unlimited add-on domains,
- has easy Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of their best dedicated server plans if and when your business require.

Who Should Not Try Hostgator
To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost

You have to go to where the domain is registered (not hosted) and change the nameserver addresses there to point to the servers where you want to host it. If you don’t remember where you registered the domain, you can go to whois.net, type in the domain and the registrant information is in the record there.
I hope that helps.

It is easy – you need to to "transfer a domain".
Many hosts do not allow automatic transfer as a secuity measure.
So look for "transfer a domain" or call the support line for the host you want to transfer to and they will help you out.

Hello,
Yes you can manage both domains at single hosting if your host allows you to use it as Addon Domain.
First you add other domain as addon and upload all data to the folder created by that and then change the nameservers of domain. This will give you 0 downtime.
Here is a tutorial for adding addon domain in Cpanel ::

you can manage both domain in one hosting account if the hosting provider supports add on domains. check with your hosting provider. go through your hosting plan.
if they support addon domains, first go to your domain register site, change the name servers to your hosting providers (account) name server. wait 48 – 72 hours for propagation period. than log in to your hosting account and add the domain as add on domain. if it does not work contact your hosting provider, they will add it free for you.
I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!
