Query:
I have an adult learners creating webpages tutorials, but now I want them to upload to a webspace. Any free ideas? I want them to learn about FTP and the connection between creating HTML documents on a computer and posting them to the actual Internet.
Is there any sweepstake or contest that offers free web hosting?
Weebly will probably work, but it was not exactly what I had in mind.
Our Answer:
It’s a better idea to post your tutorials online so that you will have more students and more people will know you. In order to do this, you need to have a website which will showcase your learning lessons.
The first thing you need is to have a domain for your website. You can register it through Godaddy or pick another best domain registrar. A domain of your own will give you ownership of your website as well as all its contents.
The next thing you need is a web host. It’s better to get started with the best domain host that is commercial for it will give you unlimited hosting service, responsive customer support, reliable server, and most of all security against hackers and identity theft.

Go to Hostgator, they allow multiple sites on one account, cheap, but it’s not free. Get a free download of Filezilla for ftp. Good luck.

If this is a classroom setting, install WAMPP and Filezilla Server on a computer, and use that as your site.
